Film

In 2017 I made a short film called ‘Nur/Nour’ about the Cairo-based electronic sound artist Nour Emam. The film follows Nour across Paris and Cairo, exploring her relationship to her work, the city and her family. I’m currently working on a film about the history of one folk song passed down in my family, tracing it back to my great grandfather who wrote the song and exploring themes of identity, family and musical bonds. If you’d like to know more about the project please get in touch.
